DESMI Modular
V
The DESMI Modular V pumps cover the existing demand for competitive vertical centrifugal pumps.
The Modular V pumps are based on the well-known DESMI modularization principle. This means that the pumps are constructed of a few standard components which are common to several versions and types, and consequently the size of the spare parts stock can be minimised.
One of the many advantages of the Modular V pump is the coupling between pump and motor, as no adjustment is necessary and the assembling simple.
Another advantage is that the monobloc versions of the Modular V pumps can also be supplied for 3500 rpm, and consequently the pumps cover a wide capacity range.

Construction
Irrespective of size, the Modular V pumps are constructed of standard components. This modularization aids a minimum stockholding as many of the components are common to the different pump sizes. Furthermore - apart from the pump casing - many of the components form part of the well-known DESMI Modular S and H series. The Modular V pumps fit standard electric motors with IEC flange.
Application
Some of the applications of the Modular V pumps are:
DESMI Modular V Monobloc
The
monobloc version includes an extra bearing which absorbs the axial forces.
The demand for special motor bearing is thus eliminated.
The DESMI Modular V pump mounted with spacer coupling.
The advantage of this combination is easy access for service and maintenance. The spacer coupling is a combined distance piece and flexible coupling, thus facilitating easy removal of the complete bearing housing/shaft seal cover with shaft, bearings, shaft seal and impeller without disturbing motor wiring and pipe connections.
